How to use it
- Add your name and address once. The generator remembers them in this browser for next time.
- Add the client, an invoice number and the dates. Most people use 14 or 30 days to pay.
- Add a line for each piece of work. For hourly work, put the hours in the quantity column and your hourly rate in the rate column.
- Click Download PDF, then choose Save as PDF in the print window.
When you click Start over, your own details stay and the invoice number goes up by one, so the next invoice is quick.
What a good invoice includes
A unique invoice number, the date, when payment is due, who it is from and who it is for, a clear line for each piece of work, the total, and how to pay. If you charge sales tax or VAT, show the rate and your tax ID. Our guide on invoicing hourly work goes into more detail.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no account, no limit on invoices and no watermark on the PDF.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your own browser, so it is there next time you open this page on the same device. Nothing is sent to our servers.
How do I get a PDF?
Click Download PDF. Your browser opens its print window; choose “Save as PDF” as the destination. On a phone, use Share and then Save to Files.
Can I bill hours instead of fixed items?
Yes. Put hours in the quantity column and your hourly rate in the rate column. Each line multiplies them for you.
