How to use it

  1. Add your name, the client or company, and the Monday the week starts on. The dates fill in for you.
  2. Add a row for each block of work: the project, a short note, and the hours. Use decimals, like 1.5 for an hour and a half.
  3. Untick Billable for time the client shouldn’t pay for, like internal meetings.
  4. Print it for a signature, save it as a PDF, or download the CSV and open it in Excel or Google Sheets.

Tips for timesheets that get approved

Questions

Can I open it in Excel?
Yes. Click Download CSV and open the file in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. The columns are date, project, task, hours and billable.
Does it save my timesheet?
Your last timesheet stays in this browser, so you can come back to it on the same device. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Should I use hours and minutes or decimals?
Decimals are easier to add up and bill: 1 hour 45 minutes is 1.75. The hours to decimal converter has a chart.
Is there a way to skip the template altogether?
Sheaf has a weekly timesheet that fills in from a timer, sends reminders on Friday, and lets a manager approve the week. It is free during beta.
